Deltatee Enterprises Ltd (“Deltatee”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, www.deltatee.com, and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
When you visit our website
Our web server automatically records basic technical information about each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page that referred you, and your browser’s identification string. We use this only to run and secure the website, for example to diagnose errors and block abusive traffic. We do not use it to identify you or combine it with other information.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking services on our website.
When you leave a comment
If you comment on a post, we collect the name, email address and (optionally) website you enter, your comment, and your IP address and browser identification string. All comments are reviewed before they are published. Once approved, your name, website and comment are shown publicly; your email address and IP address are not.
Comments are checked for spam by software running on our own server. Comment data is not sent to an outside spam-filtering service.
When you contact us
If you email or phone us, we collect the information you choose to give us, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message. We use it to respond to you and to provide the products or services you ask about.
Cookies
Our website does not set cookies for visitors. Cookies are used only to keep site administrators logged in. Third-party services embedded in our pages, described below, may set their own cookies.
Third-party services
Some of our pages load content from other companies. When your browser loads this content, the provider receives your IP address and browser information, and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy. These providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
- Google Maps (Google LLC): our Contact Us page shows an embedded Google map. See Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Gravatar (Automattic Inc.): when comments are displayed, a profile picture may be loaded from Gravatar using a scrambled (hashed) form of each commenter’s email address. See Automattic’s privacy policy at https://automattic.com/privacy/.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not disclose it outside Deltatee except to the third-party services described above, or where we are required or permitted to by law.
How long we keep information
- Web server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.
- Comments that are published remain as long as the post they belong to. Comments identified as spam are deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to respond to you and for our business records, or as long as the law requires.
- Backups of our systems, which may contain any of the above, are kept for up to six months.
How we protect information
Our website and email run on servers that we operate ourselves. We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted administrative access, to protect personal information against loss and unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to our use of it (for example, by asking us to remove a comment). Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.
