our history

Founded in 1978

Gary Gunthorpe originally founded Deltatee Enterprises Ltd. in 1978 with his first contract to design switch housings for Syncrude. Following that, work was done to develop the world's first computerized taxi meter and Alberta's first computerized drilling instruments (in partnership with RigTronics).

Partnered With Don James in 1988

After some success, a partnership was formed with Don James who provided a strong technical background so that Mr. Gunthorpe could focus on the business side of the equation. This union proved very effective as over the following two decades the company tackled countless projects and grew a larger support staff including about a dozen full time employees.

An eye to the future

As Mr. Gunthorpe and Mr. James start looking towards retirement, three of Deltatee's veteran employees are poised to take the helm: Sean Rooke, Randy Woo, and Logan Gunthorpe. Each of these individuals have contributed significantly to many of our recent successes and have many years of diverse experiences bringing ideas to reality.
